Troops of St. George – Boat-In Camping Trip Itinerary & Packing List
Location: Mowry State Park, Lake Coeur d’Alene
Dates: June 26–28, 2026
Departure Point: Blackrock Marina, Rockford Bay
Departure Start Time:Friday, June 26th at 930 AM
Trip Overview
We’re headed out for an adventure on the water! This will be a boat-in camping trip to Mowry State Park.
We will depart from Blackrock Marina on Rockford Bay and transport families and gear to our campsite at Mowry. Due to limited space on boat(s), transport will happen in groups starting at 900 AM on Friday, with new departures approximately every 30 minutes until everyone is moved. People arriving later or on Saturday can call for a ride! If you cannot arrive Friday, you’re welcome to come Saturday instead—just let us know in advance so we can plan. RSVP with your group size so we can assign your transport time and coordinate gear staging by replying to this email or by texting John Curtis (see below). On Sunday, we’ll break camp early and head back to Rockford Bay in time to attend 11:00 AM Mass at St. Joseph Parish in Rockford.
